In Pakistan, SECP supervises and regulates corporate sector, capital markets, insurance companies, NBFCs and private pension schemes. FBR collects revenue for the Federal Governemnt of Pakistan primarily in the form Income tax and Sales tax on Goods. It also administers the Income tax and Sales tax law in Pakistan.
Sales tax on Goods is collected by FBR whereas Sales tax on Services falls under the domain of provinces. PRA administers and collects Sales Tax on Services in Punjab.
